Farewell! Sr. Felicia Harry (second from right) pictured at Ardfoyle Convent with OLA Sisters from the Province of Ireland as she prepared to depart for Rome following her three week visit.

Sr. Felicia Harry, Superior General of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles (OLA), was in Ireland in last month (October) for a three week visit. She was visiting the OLA Sisters accross the Province of Ireland. As the leader of the Congregation, Sr. Felicia is required, if possible, to visit all OLA Provinces and Districts at least once in five years. During her visit Sr. Felicia listens to, meets and chats with all the Sisters, many of whom she would have known and worked with over the years in Ghana. She would also encourage the Sisters to continue to engage with the mission and charism of the Congregation in whatever way they can in their specific circumstances.

Sr. Felicia hails from Sekondi in the Western Region of Ghana. A teacher by profession, Sr. Felicia taught in secondary schools and colleges throughout Ghana before being elected the first African Superior General of the OLA International Congregation during the General Chapter in Rome July 2008. Sr. Felicia was re-elected in 2013 for a second term of five years.
